Maintenance Info

POC: VCEA Systems Team (Andrew Bates)

What: Un-planned update college GitLab servers

When:

Start: Tuesday, March 08, 2022 06:30 PT
End: Tuesday, March 08, 2022 08:00 PT
Duration of outage: 15 minutes expected per instance
Maintenance or service outages may not last the entire maintenance period. A notification will be sent once maintenance is complete.

Affected resources: All VCEA managed GitLab servers

Affected users: Faculty, Staff, & Students using VCEA GitLab servers

Notes: This includes a database backup, feature update plus patches, and reboot for relevant kernel deployments. During the outage, git push/pull and access to the web interface will be disabled.

Notification procedures: A notification will be sent as a response to this email when maintenance is complete, or if there are issues/complications. A notification will be sent as a response to this email if this maintenance is rescheduled.

Follow-up actions required (faculty, staff, students): None expected, although users may need to refresh their browser connection.
