[2021-07-01] VCEA IT Emergency Maintenance – All VCEA AD Domain Controllers

July 1, 2021

We will be updating our Active Directory Domain Controllers across all VCEA AD domains today to mitigate a serious vulnerabilities that are being exploited in the wild. (CVE-2021-1675 and “#printnightmare”)

We will be disabling the spooler service on all AD DCs as a mitigation. This should have no customer impact, as none of our AD DCs should be involved in the printing process.

End: Thursday July 01, 2021 12:00 PDT
Duration of outage (printing via AD DCs): Permanent

Maintenance or service outages may not last the entire maintenance period. A notification will be sent once maintenance is complete.
