Cyber Security Awareness Training
In accordance with the goals of Executive Policy 37 (EP37), all employees are required to complete designated cyber security trainings within six months of:
- The effective date of the revision to EP37 that adds the cyber security training requirement (Jan. 31); or
- The date of hire, if hired after the effective revision date.
All employees are required to complete designated cyber security trainings annually thereafter.
Cyber security awareness training will better equip WSU employees to combat the online threats ITS technical teams and security systems detected this past year, including:
- 962,966 emails with malicious links
- 114,367 emails with malicious attachments
- 45,468 phishing emails with rewritten URLs
- 459 instances of internal system exposure to malware
- 217 instances of suspected account compromise
The training is available on Human Resource Services’ learning platform, Skillsoft Percipio. A WSU username and password is required to log into Skillsoft.
