Firewall0 (the new set of firewalls we’re slowly migrating to) will be upgraded to the current version, starting at 6pm. Overall process is expected to take 1-2 hours, but given the high availability configuration of firewall0, minimal, if any, impact should be observed during this process.

When:

• Start: August 2^nd 2021, 6pm PT
• End: August 2^nd 2021, 8pm PT
• Duration of outage: Assuming everything goes to plan, at most, a few second long blips during the timeline as the HA realizes who is active and who is backup.

Affected resources: Servers/services connected to firewall0

Affected users: VCEA users using services connected to firewall0

Notification procedures: Unless problems arise, an internal notification will be sent within VCEA IT that work is complete. If there are further steps to be taken that require user involvement, an email will be prepared and sent to be forwarded on to relevant user(s).

Follow-up actions required: none
