[2020-08-19 10:00 PDT] VCEA IT General Scheduled Maintenance – support.vcea.wsu.edu migration

As of ~10:00 AM, August 19th, 2020, VCEA ISG has moved its support ticket system to WSU’s Jira instance. This change will help streamline requests from customers, including those that begin with another Helpdesk (such as the Crimson Service Desk).

Make sure to update your bookmarks! Our new Jira portal is located at https://jira.esg.wsu.edu/plugins/servlet/desk/portal/95 and will require you to log into your WSU account to access it. This site replaces support.vcea.wsu.edu, although that site will still redirect you to our new Jira portal.

If you had any open tickets in progress with VCEA ISG prior to the migration, you’ll probably be receiving an email letting you know that your ticket is being moved over to Jira.

[2020-03-20 12:00 PDT] VCEA IT Emergency Unscheduled Maintenance – Emergency reboots of some services

Update (3/20/2020 – 12:15 PDT):

Both of these maintenance items have been completed without issue.

We will be performing emergency reboots of two services in VCEA today during the lunch hour. The VCEA Finance DB and connect.vcea.wsu.edu will be restarted to apply changes before this weekend. See below for the maintenance notifications.

  • Maintenance may not take the entire window. A notification will be sent once maintenance is complete.

Affected resources: VCEA Finance DB front end server, via RDP and Guacamole

Affected users: VCEA Finance DB users

Notification procedures: This post will be updated when maintenance is complete, or if there are issues / complications. This post will be updated if this maintenance is rescheduled.

Follow-up actions required (end user): None.
